本题主要考察的对象是用来连接两个名词或名词短语的常见固定搭配——between…and…。而对于考生来说最大的干扰就是在sulfur dioxide和nitrogen oxides中间已经出现了一个and。因为很多考生可能会想到GMAT语法要求句子一定要简明，连用and肯定不太合适，首先就会将C，D和E排除掉了。
但是如果用with，整句话的逻辑关系好像又不太通，这个错误显然要比重复用词更严重，所以A和B是肯定要排除的，正确答案是E。排除C和D原因也是逻辑关系有误。

对于本题，我们应该先分析原句的结构，以此来抓住主线。该句属于平行结构形式，而D和E中的think与view在意思上是形成对应的，所以我们不应该凭自己的主观印象对这两个选项有偏见，应该一视同仁。再者根据GMAT语法原则，是不可以随意省略成分的，因为容易造成句意出现ambiguity。通过5个选项之间的比较，我们能够看出只有D的句意表达是最完整的，因而正确答案是D。
