“这一年让我变得更加自信、更有激情。” 在北师港浸大读研的阚梦琪，回顾自己的学习之旅如是总结。课堂中新知体系的系统建构，校园内多元活动的深度参与，以及与志同道合者的思想交融，共同构筑了她这段充盈的求知时光。
Honourable deans, professors, teachers, guests, graduates, ladies and gentlemen,
I am Kan Mengqi, a postgraduate in Sports, Health, and Communication. It is a privilege to stand before you today, and I am deeply honoured to speak on behalf of the Class of 2025. This is a momentous occasion, marking the conclusion of our one-year master’s journey. How swiftly time has passed—it feels as though we gathered at the opening ceremony just yesterday.
Reflecting on my time at BNBU, I have acquired interdisciplinary knowledge in the classroom, engaged in enriching campus activities, and forged connections with remarkable individuals. This year has fueled my confidence and ignited my passion for lifelong learning.
For five years prior, I worked as a TV host and journalist, witnessing news scenes firsthand, crafting reports, editing footage, and sharing impactful stories. These experiences were both my duty and my calling. As the renowned news anchor Kang Hui once said: “The path from being a journalist to a good journalist, and from a host to a good host, is a journey of steady growth for media professionals. But what truly defines an exceptional media practitioner and communicator?” With humility, I chose to return to academia. I pursued the emerging interdisciplinary field of Sports Health Communication to reignite my intellectual curiosity. I sought to explore new perspectives, ensuring my mindset and knowledge remain relevant in this rapidly evolving information age. Time has proven this decision to be wise. My mentor once advised: “Staying in your comfort zone is easy, but without venturing beyond it, you will never grasp the vastness of the world or recognise the limits of your own perspective.” Looking back across my undergraduate years, five years of professional experience, and now this postgraduate journey, I finally understand the wisdom our teachers and parents always emphasised: learning is a lifelong voyage.
Here, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all my friends, mentors, and professors.
Without your guidance, encouragement, and patience, I would not stand here today. I also owe an immense debt to my parents—your unwavering support has been my anchor through every challenge. Compared to my undergraduate self, I approach this milestone with greater calmness and clarity. I now realise that every ending is an invitation to embrace a better version of ourselves. To my fellow graduates: Carry forward the courage to dream, face the future with pride, and above all, always believe in yourselves.

Dear guests, teachers, parents, and fellow students,
I’m Wang Jianing, a graduating student from the Film, TV & New Media Concentration, Class of 2025. Though I once joked about wanting to be a “thoughtless potted plant,” today, I stand before you full of thoughts, feelings, and memories I can’t wait to share. This might be the first time I’ve introduced myself like this to so many people, but trust me—it’ll be the memorable one.
People always say every meeting starts a silent countdown to goodbye. The past year, I’ve lived by that ticking clock, wrapped in the warmth of BNBU’s “bed”—not just a physical place, but a home for dreams. At night, as my laptop hums shut, I’d drift off and dream of ideals and passion. In those dreams, I saw Dr Tsz Yuen Lai rebuilding art’s aura through media innovation, Dr Xue Yongxian dissecting film market logic with classical cases, Dr Wu Minyu dancing through numbers to explain industry dynamics, Dr Wang Tianding grounding us in film law’s perseverance, and Dr Yuan Yuan, whose AI-human interaction research opened my academic horizon.
Mornings woke me with the campus bus’s gentle roar, urging me to grab my backpack and chase the future. On those walks, I’d recall Dr Wu Mei’s lessons on the romance of qualitative research, Dr Ao Song’s playful vow to “defeat me” in academic debates (still waiting, by the way), Dr Fan Fei’s scribbled notes unlocking communication theory’s heart, and Mr Zhu Zixuan’s scripts, teaching us to craft stories that linger in souls.
There’s a Buddhist saying: “All karma is impermanent.” Yes, nothing lasts forever—not even memories. But if forgetting is inevitable, please… forget me slowly. Let me first etch in your hearts:
Ms Chen Chuqian, who put me back in the spotlight when I doubted myself; the 35 Millimetre Screening team, whose passion turned film nights into magic; my classmates who’d cheer “4.0 GPA” one moment and “no involution” the next; and the stories of Room 907—my sacred archive of college life.
To the “TOP girl” in my heart: Love is like the wind—unseen, but always present. You gave me the courage to bridge distances. This love isn’t temporary; it’s a choice, a promise, a forever-kind of thing.
So, for the last time (really, last time) in front of so many dear faces:
Forget me slowly, but remember this: Here, we didn’t just learn—we lived. We laughed, debated, cried, and grew, stitching our hearts into every corner of this campus. As we leave, let’s carry BNBU’s spirit: curious like a filmmaker’s lens, brave like a screenwriter’s first draft, and kind like a team’s late-night snack sharing.

Now, let’s go write the next chapter—wherever the wind takes us.
